How it works...

• EDT allows each plate to be positioned very close to the laser beam during exposure which einsures precise and sharp images with no focus adjustments required when working with either 0,15 - 0,2 and 0,3mm plates sizes.
   

• There are no moving parts in the laser exposure head which ensures a long working life with low maintainence.
   

• With LSH / Colenta COMFORT and PREMIUM Systems, an integrated internal punch (prepared to specific customer requirements) is provided which ensures very precise and reliable plate handling. Each plate is automatically placed into the punch unit, after punching it moves directly to the drum where it is aligned, positioned and firmly clamped ready for exposure in the same way as the plate will later mount onto the cylinder of the printing press.

• no vacuum pumps or vacuum related clamping systems are used which can be troublesome operation and generate unnecessary noise in the working environment.
   

• Ease of operation with step by step automation to prepare and expose each plate for press - automatic plate handling
   

• no long distances for the light beam to travel from source to the plate surface and therefore no related vibration or mechanical interference which effect the exposure quality as can be experienced with internal drum exposure systems
   

• no high speed rotating mirrors are used in LSH / Colenta external drum Technology wich can generate vibration and collect dust/dirt which in turn has a serious effect on the quality of production.
